In this studio session, I show you how I make two-layer mesh shards and how I use them on a bead.
I demonstrate the shard-making process in detail, then make a test bead to compare two versions — a thick shard and a thin shard. You’ll see how the thickness of the shard affects the character and size of the mesh pattern and the final result.
I show how I apply shards of different thicknesses, how I control the heat to develop the mesh pattern, and how I use reduction.
