This murrini features a flower with two tones in the petals: blue on the outside and heliotrope inside. Because of this, the murrini rods appear blue from the outside, while the flower inside reveals the heliotrope color shown in the photo.

The different colors inside and outside create a beautiful play of tones when the glass is worked and especially when viewed in transmitted light.

This is a professional material created specifically for lampworkers. It is made by hand using proprietary techniques developed in my studio. These methods allow any glass artist to achieve the level of crisp detail that defines my work.
